The database covers a wide scope of subjects encompassing technical, academic, commercial, and marketing aspects of the rubber and plastics industry. Sources are journals, conference papers, books, trade literature, annual reports from more than 30 countries, and patents documents related to the rubber and plastics industries and published since 1994 by the European Patent Office, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the World Intellectual Property Organization are also included. The database corresponds to the printed Rapra Abstracts, Adhesives Abstracts, and Rapra New Tradenames. The directory part of RAPRA consists of company address records and trade name records. Bibliographic information, indexing information, and abstracts are searchable. Online thesauri are available for the Controlled Term (/CT) and Non-polymer Term (/NPT) fields. American and British spelling of controlled vocabulary (in /CT for controlled polymer terms, in /NPT for controlled non-polymer terms, as well as in the Basic Index) is available.
